Best foot forward

We have organised a small library in our English course with some of our own books. We lend them to each other for free.

The book I'm reading at the moment is "Best Food Forward" or "From La Rochelle to Lake Geneva - the Misadventures of an Englishwoman", written by Susie Kelly.
As I like the picture(1) in cover so much I couldn't resist to try to paint it.

This is the result.







I suppose the village is somewhere between La Rochelle and Geneva.
